In upholding this year's celebration theme, “Inovasi AI: Pemangkin Pembangunan Masyarakat" or AI Innovation: A Catalyst for Community Development, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah featured 623 people who play an important role in enlivening the culture of innovation, expanding knowledge about AI technology, as well as encouraging active community involvement in positively and effectively utilizing digital developments.
His Majesty graced the ceremony along with the Royal Family. Upon arrival, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors; Members of the Yayasan Committee of Governors; and the Deputy Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors.
Also present were His Majesty's sons and brother:
His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Malik; His Royal Highness Prince 'Abdul Mateen; and His Royal Highness Prince Haji Jefri Bolkiah.
Also in attendance was Yang Amat Mulia Tunku Idris Iskandar Al-Haj ibni Sultan Ibrahim, Tunku Temenggong Johor.
The reading of Surah Al-Fatihah and Doa Selamat was led by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Doctor Ustaz Awang Haji Abdul Aziz bin Juned, the State Mufti. In his welcoming remarks, the Chairman of the Yayasan Board of Directors among other things highlighted the theme of the celebration.
Solid efforts in facing the era of digital transformation through innovation, ethical AI governance, and inclusive digital infrastructure development were showcased in a video presentation.
A group of 140 students from the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah further enlivened the ceremony with a stage performance.
Organised for the 22nd time, the celebration gave special meaning to celebrating Hari Raya Aidilfitri together in an atmosphere of gratitude and joy.
